The Holmes-Cruises under siege

Posted by Magdalene on December 30th, 2008 Comments (2)

Anonymous are freaking out the Holmes-Cruises! Protesting Katie’s big Broadway play and Tom’s Valkyrie opening, the group has been making public life unpleasant for the Dianetics Duo all year, driving home the actors’ association with the cult of Scientology.

Apparently, since the Valkyrie thing in mid-December, Tom’s terrified and has called in the FBI. A source says “He doesn’t feel safe anywhere”.

Cruise has spent £5 million on an underground bunker in the grounds of his estate in Colorado. In August, threats were made to place anthrax in the air vents of his Los Angeles office.

Now we feel bad for pointing out that Katie looks like crap of late! Biological threats must be very stressful :(

Reports don’t specify that Anonymous was responsible for the anthrax threats; it could have been any number of people who hope to see Katie & Suri escape from Witch Mountain.

Anonymous and Scientology face off in Shocktober: Who’s Winning? Cult 2; Hackers 2.5

Posted by Reason on October 18th, 2008 Comments (1)

It’s been a busy month for Anonymous.

OCTOBER 8/08 Uwe Stuckenbrock died in a Los Angeles Scientology prison camp. (Win: Scientology)

OCTOBER 12/08 Nearby, four days later, a masked Anon peacefully protesting on L Ron Hubbard Way in LA was punched in the face by a Scientologist, who was summarily arrested. (Win: Anon)

OCTOBER 17/08 Katie Holms’ play All My Sons officially opened on Broadway, bringing the promised Anonymous protests and $684,002 in pre-opening box office. Rumors abound that Katie, tasting sweet freedom in NYC (and hopefully considerable personal consternation at the appearance of Anonymous), may be entertaining escaping the cult, and thereby Tom. (Win: 1/2 point to Anon for the protest, 1/2 point on hold til some celebrity rumors are substantiated)

OCTOBER 17/08 Teenager Dmitriy Guzner plead guilty in New Jersey for the January DDOS (Denial of Service) attacks on Scientology’s website. The “church”, like any non-profit organization, claims something in the hood of 70 grand in damages for the hours their site was down. (Win: Scientology)

OCTOBER 18/08 Today was the world-wide zombie-themedShocktober‘ protest, in which cities all over the globe saw protests of their local Scientology centers. Here’s munichnon’s Flickr set of the Munich Day of the Lulzing Dead Reports are that protests in Ottawa and Quebec city were shut down by police. (Win: Anon)

OCTOBER SCORES: Co$: 2 | Anonymous: 2.5

The theatrical NY Anons zombie it up - lots of faces here, kids; don’t forget your masks.

And a pretty funny take on the original Anonymous video that started it all:

Uwe Stuckenbrock, former International Security Chief of Scientology, dies in Scientology gulag

Posted by Reason on October 14th, 2008 Comments (2)

Uwe, 46, reportedly “died October 8 of multiple sclerosis while on Rehabilitation Project Force in a building attached to the Scientology compound on L. Ron Hubbard Way. RPF is a form of punishment, including reduced rations and hard labor, meted out to the elite Scientology Sea Organization religious workers for perceived crimes against Scientology.”

The RPF is a gulag; the worst kind of mental prison camp in which cult members are stripped of their ID, passports, credit cards, privacy, dignity, and health. A RPF member Has no Liberties“.

In an “fictional” series of newsletters, ‘RPF Insider‘ describes Uwe’s situation, from his imprisonment in 2001 to his physical deterioration of the last few years:

Uwe cannot even get up to go to the bathroom. What in hell
is he doing in the RPF?? He cannot be getting enough professional care and
attention and it’s INHUMAN to watch what is going on. All the other RPFers
are probably also outraged, but are suppressing their own feelings, in the
hope of not missing their own chance to get out of here. I’m actually
wondering how long these guys will survive and why they are not granted some
forgiveness for whatever they were assigned to the RPF for. Human decency
would be to sign them in to a proper nursing home to recover or at least die
in peace. The one theory that I have is this: Uwe Stuckenbrock was the
International Security Chief at Hemet. O’boy! What would happen if he had
the opportunity to let the world know what is going on up there or the
security issues that exist all over the planet. I’m sure that he’s kept in
the RPF so won’t be able to leak any data out.

Anonymous has posted this:

“Anonymous is fully aware of his condition prior to death, due to the maltreatment your sorry excuses for doctors handled him with. Stuckenbrock was denied medication for his MS. He was held against his will.”

A search for a photo of Uwe on Google turns up this ominous message: “In response to a complaint we received under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act, we have removed 1 result(s) from this page. If you wish, you may read the DMCA complaint that caused the removal(s) at ChillingEffects.org.” Not so lol. The offending site was Xenu.net.

The next Anonymous protests against the cult of Scientology are this Saturday, October 18.

Sweet freedom: Katie Holmes escapes Scientology in NYC

Posted by Magdalene on October 13th, 2008 Comments (2)

Katie, as you know, hit Broadway a few weeks ago. The attendant Anonymous pestering must have been a wakeup call for how weird the rest of the world thinks her life is, because the young Scientologist is reportedly thinking of moving to NYC, where she’s a little more out of the cult’s clutches. The play actually opens this week, and Anonymous promise to be there.

And some Katie-inspired anti-Co$ video action from ‘fromacloset‘:

Anonymous. Expect them. At Katie Holmes’ Broadway debut.

Posted by Magdalene on September 24th, 2008 Comments (3)

So, Katie’s big thing debuted on Broadway this week, and as promised Anonymous were there to call attention to the cult of Scientology.

I just read something crazy. Apparently Marc Headley, an ex-Scientolgist A/V guy, says that Co$ actually arranged a fake casting call in order to dredge up chicks for the undatable Tom Cruise, back when Penelope split. Potential wife material included Jennifer Garner, Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Alba. Only Scarlett took the bait, but freaked when she found out the “audition” was at the Scientology Center in LA and refused to make a tape. Katie Holmes, being much more impressionable/much less hot than the A-list, went for it, Tom just loved her and the rest is celebricult history!

This video also available on AnonTube, for when the American Rights Counsel [sic!] starts serving up those takedown notices ;)

Anonymous launches AnonTube

Posted by Magdalene on September 18th, 2008 Comments (3)

Last week there was some litigation nonsense over at YouTube, with someone suspiciously like the “Church” of Scientology issuing takedown notices on some 4000 Scientology-related videos. In response to this, Anonymous has launched their own video channel…AnonTube!

The site pulls videos from YouTube with tags like “Scientology” and “Chanology”, but has backups, should the meddling f(r)iends of Co$ try to remove the content again. AnonTube serves as a nice aggregator of raid documentary videos and original Anon content, and will hopefully develop some good Anonymous conversation & commenting.

Anonymous Headroom from Henk de Vries on Vimeo.

Anonymous note to YouTube:

“You’ve shown many times that you are unable to make the right decisions on your own. Only after complaints of hundreds or thousands of users, you are willing to listen. You are often a tool in the hands of fraudulent corporations, evil regimes and abusive cults. You have taken down videos of users who simply spoke out against evil and abuse.”

The holy war between Anonymous and C0$ - Project Chanology - started because of YouTube’s corporate kowtowing to the litigious “Church”. Topic Agnostic declares the liberation of these videos a nice, full circle epic win.

Here’s a bonus roundup of last Saturday, September 13 Anonymous raids against Scientology.

Anonymous was also responsible, incidentally, for the Sarah Palin email hack reported on Gawker. Busy hackers ;D

Scientology menaces YouTube again; Anonymous paying attention

Posted by Magdalene on September 8th, 2008 Comments (1)

What’s been shaking over in Scientologyland lately? Quite a bit, actually. Some un-googleable folks calling themselves the American Rights Counsel [sic] sent more than 4000 DCMA takedown notices to YouTube - the sort of thing one does when one is asserting copyright over a video - and all of the videos in question just happened to have something to do with Scientology. Some are news reports from Europe & Canada, Anonymous protests, Clearwater (Florida, a bastion of Scientology) city council meetings, all with C0$ connections. YouTube’s policy with regards to these kind of copyright issues is to immediately remove the potentially offending videos. Many of them have apparently been reinstated, but Mark Bunker’s XenuTv is a YouTube graveyard of ‘this video no longer available’ notices.

This kind of litigious, censorious crap was what got Co$ in hot water with Anonymous in the first place, and the fine Anons on the Enturbulation boards are all over this recent attack. Will we see another Anonymous strike? Ars Technica’s Nate Anderson reports that Anon plans to purchase group tickets to Katie Holmes’ upcoming Broadway opening & sit silently in the audience in their all their Guy Fawkes glory. Creepy yes; effective, potentially - Katie, the gentlemen in masks are your friends and will help you make a getaway. Just give them a signal.

Meanwhile, in France, a judge has ordered that two branches of the “Church” and 7 of its leaders stand trial for fraud - “organized fraud” and “illegally practicing as pharmacists”, to be exact. The trial will probably get rolling midwinter. Scientology is viewed as a cult in France, and was successfully prosecuted for snake oil salesmanship in Lyons and Marseilles in the 90’s.

Co$ fading fast!

Posted by Reason on June 11th, 2008 Comments (0)

How’s Co$ doing these days, anyway? This video posted today on YouTube proclaims a hearty drop in revenues, graduates, and general interest & acceptance. Investigations and “intentions to ban” are speculated on in Russia, France, Germany & Beligium.

Teenager faces prosecution for calling Scientology ‘cult’

Posted by Formo-Mormo on May 25th, 2008 Comments (1)

“The incident happened during a protest against the Church of Scientology on May 10. Demonstrators from the anti-Scientology group, Anonymous, who were outside the church’s £23m headquarters near St Paul’s cathedral, were banned by police from describing Scientology as a cult by police because it was “abusive and insulting”.”

Apparently, it’s illegal to insult people in the U.K. Yikes!

What could the motivation be for these officers to enforce the law in this way?

“The City of London police came under fire two years ago when it emerged that more than 20 officers, ranging from constable to chief superintendent, had accepted gifts worth thousands of pounds from the Church of Scientology.

The City of London Chief Superintendent, Kevin Hurley, praised Scientology for “raising the spiritual wealth of society” during the opening
of its headquarters in 2006.

Last year a video praising Scientology emerged featuring Ken Stewart, another of the City of London’s chief superintendents, although he is not a member of the group.”

And there you have it.

C0$ lies not really working so much any more

Posted by Reason on May 14th, 2008 Comments (1)

First of all, mega bejeezus word up mad crazy super props to Anonymous for getting a 9 minute feature on CNN. That, my friends, is the mainest of streams. Here’s the clip, with an interview with Tommy Davis, from May 08:

The reports I’ve read so far of the May 10 protests proclaim many success and show many an unmasked Anon. As the Enturbulation forums warn, don’t get cocky. It’s not a party, it’s a protest ;)

That said, maybe Anonymous and the age they represent really is bringing an end to Co$. With the thetans and the alien whatnot exposed in countless online documents, how is a cult to retain it’s grip on it’s sheep these days? Barring a Fundy-Mormonish lack of computers, any cult whose deepest, most expensive secrets are up for grabs and ridicule on the internet is going to have a much tougher time portioning out the ’secret knowledge’ membership provides. Maybe the veil of ignorance is just too lifted for Scientology to continue cowing members into submission.
