We’ve recently been introduced to Derek Chatwood, having accidentally appropriated his artwork for a Topic Agnostic story on creationism. That’s how authentic his vintage-style comic book artwork is; it appears to be an honest-to-god hilariously Jesus-loving kid’s colouring book.
Turns out you can buy high quality prints of some of this artwork online; we’re fond of Jesus! vs Darwin! and Beginner’s Bible Coloring Book, the aforementioned pilfered image.
It’s been pilfered into the big time of street art as well - check out what looks like a back alley wheatpaste in Bellingham, WA, of the iconic ‘Jesus Riding a Dinosaur’ image. In the vein of Shep Fairey, this image stands on its own even without the context from which it came, but the impossible creationist juxtaposition communicates & provokes more thought than a baleful Andre.

South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone are taking a comedy musical about the Mormon faith to Broadway.
Trey and Matt have somewhat of a history of lampooning the Mormon faith through various projects such as the classic Orgazmo; in which a missionary starts acting in porn movies to make money in order to have a temple wedding, and the infamous South park episode All About Mormons.
‘All About Mormons’ became somewhat of an expose for people unfamiliar with the history of the church, and especially for members of the church who never knew about some of the non-faith promoting history of the church, such as the fact that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon by placing his face in a hat, and didn’t even use the golden plates he purported to be in possession of. Those same golden plates were supposedly later taken back to heaven by the angle Moroni.
No doubt that this upcoming musical will be another entertaining chapter in the satirization of Mormons by Trey and Matt.

Russell’s Teapot, a collection of free thinking atheist comics in which a small boy hangs out with Jesus and calls him on his various inefficiencies and general mysterious ways.
Includes “Know Your Bible“…a wonderful idea! Were you aware, for instance, Ecclesiastes 3:19 concludes with the sentence “Everything is meaningless?” Who knew the Big J was a Buddhist?
