My fellow heathens, Topic Agnostic is pleased to bring you a set of two new “Catholic Kitsch” Agnostic Art® desktop wallpapers.

Enjoy the plastic splendor of Jesus on your desktop! He’s doing an “E.T. phone home” thing with his finger! Or get pious with our Lady of the Fake Flowers, Jesus’ mom!

Visit our Flickr wallpaper gallery to download your resolution. Happy day of rest!

These images stem from the interest in personal, spontaneous outpouring of religiosity: in the case of this Catholic shrine, someone’s idea of what will help assuage death. Nothing can, realistically, but, for some, participation in the rituals and symbols ascribed to death by their culture serve to ease the cognitive dissonance that comes with contemplation of our ultimate fate.
