This was reputed to be from Expelled at first; now that the film’s been screened someone should be able to confirm or deny that with authority. It’s tough to decide if this pro or anti creationism…at first I thought pro and ended up with anti. In any case someone put a lot of effort into forcing R-Dawk to rap.
They talk about the Expelled fiasco.
Remember that movie hosted by Ben Stein, Expelled?

It has been making the rounds at private showings in the U.S., and some people that have seen it are reviewing the movie. You can read many of the reviews here…

“Be it resolved that the Church of Scientology in the state of Texas no longer be recognized as an official religion, thereby revoking its religious tax exempt status in the state of Texas…
Be it resolved that the Church of Scientology in the state of Texas be officially regarded as a business and not a religion“.
RESOLUTION ADOPTED THIS 29 DAY OF MARCH, 2008, AT THE PRECINCT/SENATORIAL CONVENTION OF PRECINCT NUMBER 341, AND/OR SENATORIAL DISTRICT 11 CONVENTION, GALVESTON COUNTY, TEXAS OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY OF TEXAS.
Much discussion on whether this resolution is passed, pending, or merely proposed, but Go Texas nonetheless. Incredible. It only took 2 raids.
Thoughts over on Get Rich Slowly on how being a Christian influences your financial situation.
The author notes that the way a person handles their money should be a reflection of their piety; non Jesus-approved uses being an indicator of hypocrisy. Jesus wants you to save money, eschew greed, give to charity & help the poor, maybe lavish it on his church a little bit with some tithe love, and give some more to the poor. This does not apply to the Catholic oligarchy or Evangelical preachers.
A good example of the value of religion; when (if observed) the adherent is commanded to do good to his fellow man. And it isn’t a comment on “atheists have no moral compunction to do good, only we the religious do”, it’s just saying “hey, if you’re down with Jesus, you’re down with fighting poverty”. That’s admirable.
Jesus also had some advice on taking out a subprime mortgage: “The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender. ” Proverbs 22:7

This little girl, Madeline Kara Neumann of Weston, VA, just died because her parents thought God would cure her diabetes if they prayed enough.
As to why their cruel God decided to take away their kid, the parents, Dale and Leilani Neumann, figure “apparently (we) didn’t have enough faith”. They have 3 other children, which at this point are still with them because there are no signs of abuse.
No abuse? Simple medical treatment could have given Madeline a perfectly normal life. She just had diabetes. She really suffered in her last month on earth.
If someone can point me out to the Bible verse that prohibits believers from seeking medical attention, please comment. Dale and Leilani aren’t Jehovah’s Witness or any other sect that typically rejects medical science, so scripture must have dictated their decision.
According to Madeleine’s mom, there’s still a chance she could be resurrected.
In India, 50 people blinded themselves by staring at the sun looking for a miraculous image of the Virgin Mary in the sky. Oops.
An older episode of Mr. Diety, the second one actually, but appropriate for this Easter weekend.
The Vatican unveils fresh new sins
And how does the Vatican come up with new sins? Did God talk to the Pope to let him know that drinking wine is okay (Jesus did it after all) but lighting up a joint puts you on the path to hell?
